Being able to call upon the services of an adviser who understands your personal circumstances, and who focuses on building and maintaining a long-term relationship, enables you to benefit from a source of trusted advice as your financial needs evolve over the years.
The financial benefits of taking advice are well documented. Research undertaken by the International Longevity Centre UK (ILC1)* in 2019 showed that those who take advice are on average £47,706 better off in retirement (in pensions and financial assets) than those who don’t.
Research shows that those who take advice are more confident that they will achieve their long-term goals and, through their interactions with an adviser, feel more financially literate and able to understand how their goals will be achieved – as well as more empowered to make complex financial decisions for themselves.
A good financial advisor will help you navigate the complex world of personal finance and investing, developing with you the plans to future prosperity and peace-of-mind for you and the ones you love.
Make the decision today to plan for a better tomorrow and get Amica working for you.

Fifteen years ago, I get divorced – it happens to a lot of us. One of the things that sticks out to me looking back, is how little I understood or was prepared to take charge of my own financial security.
I ran a house with all that encompasses, looked after my two children, worked full time and yet, I had taken little part in the major financial decisions that affected me. And I know I am not alone, because since then, dozens of women I have supported have shared a similar story.
Fast-forward to today and I have a very different perspective. Now I am an Advising Partner within St. James's Place, director of my own company and have the privilege of supporting hundreds of individuals and families to make their dream of financial wellbeing a reality.
But I never forget what it was like in those first months trying to work things out for myself.
That memory of being slightly lost and unsure of my next steps stays with me still and these days I have a passion within to help others, particularly women, secure the life and retirement they desire. Knowing what I know now, having the support of a Financial Advisor would have made a real difference to me and the choices I made.
Many women I work with acknowledge that having a Financial Advisor in their ‘team’ is such an asset; a trusted person who understands where you are now, where you want to be and who provides them with the clarity – the route map - of how to get there. It is important to start the conversation early; knowledge is power, so don’t wait to get informed.
If you feel you are ready to take control of your financial wellbeing and would like to start a conversation, I’d be delighted to join your ‘team’ and see how we can work together.
